Minions merupakan bagian dari franchise Despicable Me dengan tokoh utama bernama Gru dan para makhluk kecil berwarna kuning, Minions.
Minions The Rise of Gru tak hanya bawa kembali Steve Carell sebagai pengisi suara Gru, tetapi juga rapper Eminem untuk pengisi soundtrack.
Melalui teaser yang telah dirilis Illumination, Lose Yourself dari Eminem lah yang pertama kali dimunculkan.
